What will need to change?

MechanicalThe ATV930 runs markedly larger than the ATV71 at the same rating. Metal migration plates reuse the existing mounting holes for most frame sizes, so check the frame table before cutting steel.
WiringUpstream protection, keypads, and mounting kits differ between generations, while remote-mount cable part numbers carry over. Re-check the short-circuit protective device against the new installation manual.
SoftwareThe programming layout changes while the functions stay close, and both lines work under SoMove. Pick the drive rating under the right duty mode — heavy-duty versus normal-duty overloads differ by line.
PowerSelect the ATV930 under the application's real overload: process and heavy-duty ratings shape the catalog choice more than the kilowatt label. A like-for-like kilowatt pick can undersize the drive.
